Oleksandr Svishchov solemnly opened the most modern tennis courts in Lviv

Vadym Gutzeit, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration, Roman Khimyak, Head of Youth and Sports Department of Lviv Regional State Administration, Anton Nikulin, Head of Lviv City Sports Department, as well as representatives of local authorities headed by the Mayor of the city Andriy Sadovyi attended the significant event for the city of Lion and all Ukrainian tennis

The customer of the reconstruction of the building with tennis courts in 2019 was the Sports Palace “Ukraine” LLC, and the general contractor was the construction company LVIV BUD. The prerequisites for the reconstruction of the Palace of Sports “Ukraine” were several reasons. One of the main ones: in recent years, the building has not been used for its intended purpose – training athletes, especially tennis players, and holding competitions.

It is very nice that such projects are implemented in Lviv region, and it is twice as nice that they are implemented during the war. We must pay tribute to the people who did not leave the country, but invested and helped to create such magnets, because it is really a sports magnet, it is a decoration not only of Lviv and the region, but also of the whole country. Here children from the age of one and a half can practice a large number of sports. They instill love for sports, for a healthy lifestyle. This is an object that develops children, allows them to become worthy citizens of their state. And I am very grateful for this!” – said Maksym Kozytskyi, the Head of Lviv Regional Administration.

The main purpose of the reconstruction of the Palace of Sports was to create modern and comfortable conditions for organizing tennis lessons throughout the year not only for amateurs but also for professional players. LEOLAND can also be a platform for holding competitions of national and international levels. And for Ukraine to be worthily represented at the competitions of the highest levels, a special program for young talented tennis players will be introduced here.

Back in the days of designing this sports center, we decided that a certain quota of time for training will be allocated for beginners, who in a few years will defend the colors of Ukraine, will fight for “gold”, spreading the honor and dignity of our country. I am proud of the courage of our defenders, I believe in our victory, both now on our land and in the future in all sports arenas of the world, – Mr. Svishchov said.

“Frankly speaking, I am amazed that such a large infrastructure for tennis appeared in Ukraine during the war. We continue to play sports thanks to our armed forces who defend our country. I am grateful to them that we can complete our sports infrastructure,” commented Vadym Gutzeit, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

At the opening ceremony, Olexandr Svishchov was presented with a certificate from the Ukrainian Tennis Federation, which certifies the assignment of LEOLAND tennis courts to the “Premium” category. Mr. Svishchov thanked the guests of honor for the high recognition of the work of the entire project team and expressed hope that there will be many more meetings in LEOLAND for incendiary and spectacular tennis competitions.
