Opening of Leoland Sports Center – the largest sports and entertainment center in Ukraine

The war has negatively affected almost all Ukrainian business, but even in such tough conditions the country’s economy must live and develop. Therefore, a new sports and entertainment center is expected to open in Lviv soon.

This was stated by the owner of Lviv Sports and Entertainment Center Leoland Oleksandr Svishchov, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“Leoland” – the largest sports and entertainment center in Ukraine, was supposed to start working in the spring. But after the full-scale Russian invasion, the plans had to be revised.

“Since the first day we started to help the frontline and IDPs and now it remains one of the priorities of our work. We use all available opportunities and help organizationally, financially, informationally, because we believe that each such case brings our country closer to victory,” said Oleksandr Svishchov.

At the same time, another important task, according to him, is to complete the construction and equipping of the complex as soon as possible and open its doors to visitors.

“We did not stop working on the project even after the russian invasion, the construction and restoration of the building is still ongoing, and we are trying to fulfill all obligations to partners, contractors, as well as pay taxes in full. I believe that this is how every responsible business should act,” the owner of the sports and entertainment center assured.

According to his words, the opening of the complex will happen soon. Thus, in June, a tennis school, a football center for children “Footbik”, as well as a scientific and technical laboratory MakerSpace will start working. In autumn, a fitness center, a dance school, an event hall, amusement parks for children, a cinema restaurant and a food court will be opened. And to make staying in the complex safer, a bomb shelter was also arranged here.

Svishchov also notes that an important part of business social responsibility during the war is to preserve jobs, continue to pay salaries and fulfill all obligations to employees.

“We have kept the staff, it is more than 200 people. Moreover, on the eve of the opening, we started creating new jobs: hiring coaches, administrators, managers. In total, the complex will have more than 400 jobs,” the businessman said.
