Oleksandr Svishchov and Elina Svitolina join forces for the development of junior tennis in Ukraine

Lviv-based investor and inspirer of Ukrainian sports Oleksandr Svishchov spoke about a unique event in Lviv that brought together the current stars of Ukrainian tennis and its future. The Leoland sports and entertainment center hosted a master class by Elina Svitolina and Serhiy Stakhovsky for more than 160 young athletes from all over Ukraine.

Master class with heart: inspiration from champions

Oleksandr Svishchov said that Elina Svitolina, Olympic bronze medalist and winner of 20 WTA tournaments, and Serhiy Stakhovsky, a former tennis player and current member of the National Guard, held a vivid master class, during which they not only trained children in playing techniques, but also shared their experience, talked about the path to success and the importance of believing in oneself.

Spirit of unity: military on the court with children

A particularly touching moment was when the military from the UNBROKEN Ukraine rehabilitation center joined the event. Together with the stars and children, they took to the court, reminding everyone that strength of spirit is also part of victory.

Leoland – the center of the tennis movement in Lviv

As the main initiator of the creation and development of the Leoland complex, Oleksandr Svishchov emphasized that such events are made possible by constant work on infrastructure development and support for children’s sports:

“During the existence of Leoland, we have made tennis popular in Lviv. Major tournaments are held every month, the LeoSport school is open, and recently we held the Ukrainian championships, which have not been held here for more than 10 years. This is a great breakthrough.”

Looking to the future: European water polo ambitions

Svishchov is not only concerned with the development of tennis, as the President of the Ukrainian Water Polo Federation he recently expressed his vision for the national water polo teams’ performance at Euro 2026: “We have to fight for every ball. The men’s national team is in a difficult group, but we believe in our players. And for the women, this is a chance to grow and make a name for themselves at the international level.”

Common goal – the future of sports

The event in Lviv is not just an event, but part of a systematic effort to develop sports in the regions. As Svishchov noted:

“Children in Lviv have fallen in love with tennis in a new way and even more. We are confidently moving towards our goal of raising a new generation of Ukrainian champions.”
