The third open Ukrainian beach water polo championship took place in Lviv. The winner of the competition for the third time in a row was the Lviv Lions team, which confirmed its championship status in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
In the final, the Lviv Lions defeated their younger colleagues from the Lviv Lions-2 club with a score of 15:13.
Bronze medals went to the NTU KhPI-1654 (Kharkiv), which confidently defeated KIVS (Lviv) 10-0 in the match for 3rd place.
In his welcoming remarks, President of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine Oleksandr Svishchov emphasized the peculiarities of holding the competition on the Independence Day of Ukraine:
“I am very pleased that today, on such a great holiday – Ukraine’s Independence Day, we held the Third Open Ukrainian Beach Water Polo Championship.
I am happy for the guys who came together and showed their spirit and character even in such cold weather.
I am grateful to the defenders for the opportunity to hold sports competitions – all thanks to you.Glory to Ukrainian heroes! Glory to Ukraine!”
The sporting event in Lviv was not only a confirmation of the high level of Ukrainian water polo, but also an opportunity to once again emphasize the value of Independence and pay tribute to the defenders of Ukraine.
